About Us

Our Mission:Our century vision: enabling people to live healthier, longer lives

The global population is aging at an unprecedented pace. By 2030, one in six people worldwide will be aged 60 or over. By 2050, the global population aged 60 and over will double to 2.1 billion. Meanwhile, the number of people aged 80 and over is expected to triple between 2020 and 2050, reaching 426 million (source: World Health Organization). However, aging brings a range of debilitating conditions — such as sarcopenia, frailty, dementia and metabolic diseases — that undermine quality of life and independence.

At Biophytis, we envision a future in which people not only live longer, but live healthier.

Our Strategic Programs:A Comprehensive Approach

Longevity Research Platform

Through a unique platform, we explore and identify the fundamental mechanisms of aging. It combines multiple synergistic technologies and is systematically accelerated by AI through our partnership with Lynx Analytics, enabling us to discover therapeutic solutions across the entire spectrum of aging-related diseases.

BIO101 in Sarcopenia

Sarcopenia is a progressive, generalized loss of skeletal muscle mass and strength, affecting up to a quarter of people over 60. No approved treatment currently exists, and BIO101 is the most advanced candidate in development. Our Phase II trial showed significant improvement in mobility outcomes, and we are now preparing for the first Phase III study in sarcopenia.

BIO101 in Obesity

One billion people worldwide live with obesity, 96% of whom experience mobility problems, creating an urgent need to preserve muscle function during weight loss. BIO101 is being developed as a combination therapy with GLP-1 receptor agonists to address the critical challenge of muscle mass loss in obesity management.
